Data We Collect
Automatically Collected Data
When you visit this site, our server logs record your IP address, the page requested, the referring URL, browser type, and the date and time of the request. This is standard web server logging. Log data is retained for 30 days and then deleted. It is used solely for security monitoring and aggregate traffic analysis.
Cookies
This site uses a single first-party cookie to record your response to the cookie consent banner. The cookie name is gs_cookie_consent. It stores either the value accepted or rejected and expires after 12 months. No tracking or advertising cookies are set.
If you click Reject on the banner, no additional cookies are set and the consent value is stored solely in the single consent cookie described above.
Contact Form
When you submit the contact form on the About page, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, and the message you enter. This data is used only to respond to your query. It is not shared with third parties. We retain contact form submissions for 12 months, after which they are deleted.
How We Use Data
Data collected through this site is used for three purposes only: responding to contact form submissions, monitoring server security, and producing aggregate readership statistics that are never attributable to individuals.
We do not use data for advertising, do not share data with third parties for marketing, and do not build user profiles.
Legal Basis
Server log data is processed on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Contact form data is processed on the basis of your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), which you provide by submitting the form. Cookie consent is recorded as required by ePrivacy Directive implementation.
Your Rights

Data Security
Contact form submissions are transmitted over HTTPS. Server logs are stored on access-controlled infrastructure. No payment data is collected on this site.
Third-Party Services
This site loads a stylesheet from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) to render the Inter typeface. This request transmits your IP address to Google's servers. If you prefer to avoid this, you may disable font loading in your browser or use a privacy-focused DNS or content blocker. All other resources (CSS, JavaScript, images served from upload.wikimedia.org) are either self-hosted or accessed from the Wikimedia Foundation's public infrastructure under standard open-content licences.
Changes to This Policy
